NSPCC and Aardman team up for game aiming to combat child abuse

The NSPCC has teamed up with Aardman to create a mobile game that aims to keep children safe from sexual abuse.

The game, Playtime with Pantosaurus, features four minigames where kids can test their skills against Pantosaurus and other characters whilst learning the PANTS rule to keep themselves safe.The PANTS rule is an NSPCC initative to help children feel safe to speak up about sexual abuse, and keep them protected, which you can read about in more detail here.

NSPCC have timed this to coincide with new advert that has been released entitled ‘There’s something you need to tell me’ which is aiming to inform parents that talking PANTS is ‘easy, not scary, but important.’

Jen Little, Digital Lead Producer from the NSPCC said: "Playtime with Pantosaurus" can help parents begin to talk PANTS with their children to keep them safe from sexual abuse.

"Children play games with Pantosaurus and learn about staying safe at the same time. The game acts as an ice-breaker, and helps parents’ kick-start awkward conversations in a fun and friendly way."
