Nominees for Scandinavian ceremony unveiled

Nordic Game Awards finalists shortlisted

The organisers of the Nordic Game 2009 conference have confirmed the finalists for the event’s award ceremony.

Nordic studio Funcom has had Age of Conan nominated for both the Best Artistic Achievement award and the gong for Best Nordic Game. Mirror’s edge, by Swedish studio EA Dice has also been shortlisted for the two awards.

Meanwhile Bionic Commando: Rearmed by Swedes Grin, and the Watchmen episodic games by Danish developer Deadline are also up for recognition. For a full list of nominees see below.

The various game producers associations from across the Scandinavian territories have nominated the games for each award, with the exception the Best Nordic Talent category shortlist, which has been created by the Nordic Game Programme that organises the main conference.

Nordic Game takes place from 19th to 20th May in Malmö, Sweden. For more information on the event visit the official site.
