NGDC 2012: Day 1 recap in pictures

It was a busy first day at the NASSCOM Game Developer Conference, and proceedings began with NASSCOM Gaming Forum chair Rajesh Rao announcing that for the first time, the conference had crossed the 1,000 attendees mark.

While one of the most anticipated sessions of the day – the Global Indie Freedom panel discussion, was pushed back to day two due to time constraints, it was a packed agenda from start to finish.

Proceedings began with Sledgehammer Games vice president Glen Schofield delivering his keynote speech that revolved around the state of the industry as well as on the importance of focussing on quality in game development. We also caught up with Schofield shortly after for a short, but insightful interview.

Following that was the State of the Industry panel discussion featuring some of the top players within the Indian game development fraternity.
