Overwatch outfit Laser Kittenz has terminated the contract of their DPS player Byeon ‘Munchkin’ Sang-beom, who will now be returning to South Korea.
ESPN broke the story, reporting that it was a “health complication in his wrist and language barrier issues” that caused the contract termination. Laser KIttenz is a European team filled with players from across Europe and also Sang-beom’s former teammate who was signed at the same time, Lee ‘Claris’ Gun-ho.
Laser Kittenz are involved with the Overwatch Contenders, and are hoping for a good result there. This brings the team down to just seven players, and Laser Kittenz has said that the organisation will be looking to hire a new DPS player in the coming weeks.
For Sang-boem, he’ll now return to South Korea to look for a new team, although if the injury is serious it could hinder his search. Sang-beom has only been with the team a few months, joining up in April after he was released from Lunatic-Hai controversially departing Lunatic-Hai after just three days to play with Laser Kittenz.
