The successor to Disney Interactive’s most successful game in years will be co-developed by Leamington Spa outfit Blitz Games Studios, the company has confirmed.
Disney Interactive said Epic Mickey 2 is being developed “much like a feature film with Blitz contributing to the development of the game for Xbox 360 and PS3”.
The company told Kotaku that the project is a “full partnership between Junction Point and Blitz with one creative leadership team and one creative vision”.
Last year Disney axed scores of staff from the game’s lead developer Junction Point, headed up by industry veteran Warren Spector.
