Games showcase for indie studios now heading into fifth year

IndieCade 2010 calls for submissions

The call for submissions to the IndieCade 2010 independent games and interactive media festival has gone out.

Now in its fifth year, the US-based event showcases work from international studios and individuals who work without funding from major publishers. Entries, finalists and prize winners are selected by a jury consisting of game designers, artists, curators and academics.

All interactive media produced without major publisher funding is eligible for entry.

Submissions will close on June 1 and cost £45, with all submissions entered before May 1 receiving an early-bird fee of £35. The event organisers have said that works-in-progress are encouraged.

All selected entries will also be considered for presentation at other 2010 IndieCade events including E3 and IndieCade Europe.
