3MRT-developed apps cover 12 English and Scottish curriculum subjects

GCSE training apps released

GCSE training apps for 12 separate English and Scottish curriculum subjects have been launched by UK firm 3MRT today.

Dubbed the InQuizitor range, 3MRT have said the apps have a proven record of improving students’ examination scores.

“The iPhone and iPod touch are perfect formats for the InQuizitor range,” said 3MRT CEO Euan Mackenzie.

“By freeing pupils from the classroom we enable anyone with the appropriate technology to learn whilst having fun anywhere they like. Study can be done in short bursts, when you are on the move, making previous dead time totally rewarding.”

Mackenzie went on to describe the development process behind the new apps as being geared towards ensuring that students’ motivation was held as a paramount design consideration.

“InQuizitor was co-designed by several members of the original GTA team. It is a cocktail of real gaming expertise and scientific methodology which has proven results,” he said.

“I’d like to think we were increasing kids’ desire and motivation to study using games. InQuizitor demonstrates how rewarding gaming can be when placed in the right environment.”
