Overwatch and Uncharted 4 win big

DICE Awards 2017 Winners announced, with Overwatch snatching Game of the Year

The Dice Awards have returned for a 20th year, and the 2017 awards winners have been named at a lavish ceremony hosted by Jessica Chobot and Greg Miller.

There’s no surprises with the game of the year award, which was won by Blizzard’s Overwatch, which also snagged several other awards throughout the evening. It was chosen as the game of the year by a peer vote from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, which has nearly 33,000 members.

24 awards were handed out, with Steep skiing in to grab Sports Game of the Year. and Pokémon Go picking up a well-deserved Mobile Game of the Year award as part of the bargain. Todd Howard was inducted into the AIAS Hall of Fame for his work at Bethesda Game Studios.
