Dark Souls III claims series’ first No.1, launch sales 61 per cent higher than Dark Souls II

Bandai Namco has taken its first UK No.1 this year as action RPG Dark Soul III shoots to the top.

This is the series’ first No.1, and beats the Week One sales of 2014’s Dark Souls II by a whopping 61 per cent. That title launched in second place behind EA’s Titanfall.

Meanwhile, The Division falls to second place with sales falling 40 per cent week-on-week. That’s ahead of third place, EA’s UFC 2 which climbed five places last week with sales rising a huge 64 per cent.

Last week’s No1 Quantum Break drops to fourth place with a 64 per cent dip in sales. Meanwhile, Codemasters’ Dirt Rally – last week’s No.2 – falls three places with a 66 per cent sales dip.
