Starzhevsky and Snell to speak at game business and technology conference

Creat Studios and Origin Systems co-founders to keynote IGCEast

Origin Systems founder Dallas Snell and Creat Studios CEO Vladimir Starzhevsky are to host the keynote sessions at the forthcoming Independent Game Conference East event.

Starzhevsky will deliver a talk labelled ‘The Challenges of Independence’, while Snell will speak in a session ttitled ‘There’s Nothing Casual about Social Games’.

The IGCEast event includes both a business track and a technical track, and promises to give industry guidance to the independent developer as well as direction for programmers and artists engaged in game making.

Snell has been in the industry since creating The Quest in 1983, before joining forces with Richard and Robert Garriott when founding Origin in 1985. Currently head of Creat’s Boston-based studio, Starzhevsky previously held a producer position at Vicarious Visions, where he worked on a number of high profile games.

IGCEast is taking place in Boston from May 7th to 8th at the Northeastern University campus. Early bird tickets priced at $250 are currently available. For more information visit the event’s official website.
