Former Midnight City vice president Casey Lynch has announced his appointment at Square Enix as editorial director.
Lynch revealed his new job in a post on Twitter, which includes an image of the new hire in front of the logo of Square Enix studio and Rise of the Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics.
His job will be to provide guidance for the publisher’s stable of European and North American franchises – such as Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex, Just Cause and Thief.
Lynch left Majesco’s Midnight City indie publishing label at the end of last year, due to the struggling publisher enduring a round of layoffs. Prior to that, he served as IGN’s editor-in-chief.
