Last chance to take advantage of early bird rates

Bioware Mythic VP headlining Develop in Brighton

Bioware Mythic VP Eugene Evans is to headline the Develop in Brighton conference next month, event organiser Tandem has announced

Industry veteran Evans, who has worked on MMOs such as Ultima Online and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, will present the opening keynote address, ‘A Survivors Guide: 30 Years in Video Games.’

The Bioware Mythic studio general manager is to share his experiences in the games industry, his opinions of the future of the sector and Bioware, as well as how developers must adapt and stay relevant in an ever-changing industry.

“Every game developer and published in the world is confronting the disruptive ramifications of change from going free-to-play, digital distribution, the ever changing landscape with new platforms, and living in a post-iOS, post-Facebook more global era,” said Evans.

“EA and Bioware are no different and I’m really looking forward to sharing the experience I’ve gained with my time at the studio – and with many other organisations over the last thirty years – to perhaps provide some insight from that experience to guide developers through what is just the latest of a long line of transitionary periods facing this industry and to prepare for, and succeed in, the future.”

Today is also the last chance for to take advantage of early bird booking rates, which can save attendees up to £135.

Further discounts are also available to full-time students.

The conference, which takes place over three days, will feature other keynotes and sessions from leading industry professionals such as Frontier’s David Braben, Eidos life president Ian Livingstone, Gaikai’s David Perry and Valve’s Jason Holtman.

Tracks at the event will include the Evolve Conference, Develop Conference, Develop Expo, indie showcase, Indie Dev Marketing, Indie Dev Day and an Audio track.

Develop in Brighton will take place between July 10th and 12th, and will take place at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.
