Battlefield 3’s premium service has garnered more than 800,000 users in just two weeks, publisher EA has revealed.
Based on the $50 fee, this would mean the publishing giant had accrued $40 million from the service.
Battlefield Premium allows members access to new multiplayer content and DLC before other users, including other perks such as branded dog tags.
When asked by USA Today whether EA would adopt the plans for other games in future, EA’s games chief Patrick Soderlund said it was too early to tell, but that it “looks very promising”.
