Ark: Survival of the Fittest put on hold on PS4

The July release of Ark: Survival Evolved’s spin-off mode on PS4 has been postponed.

The game’s Survival of the Fittest mode was released as a standalone free-to-play download on PC earlier this year and had been scheduled for a release on PS4 this month.

However, development has been put on hold entirely in order to focus on getting the full game, which hit PC and later Xbox One last year, out on PS4.

Studio Wildcard is putting the PS4 version of Ark: Survival of the Fittest on hold in order to focus on preparing Ark: Survival Evolved for PS4 release,” the developer said. While this means Ark: Survival of the Fittest won’t be releasing on PS4 in July 2016, we’re working towards an earlier release of Ark: Survival Evolved."

The full Ark: Survival Evolved was one of Steam Early Access’ big hits last year. It has also enjoyed big success on Xbox One.
