Professional-level solution now available for $495

Game technology developer DevCell has revealed a new indie-aimed licensing option for its DevCell engine.

The new licence gives indie and hobbyist developers access to the same version of the engine used by commercial developers, as well as the engine's complete toolset, the C++ SDK, one year's worth of updates for both the StemCell engine and the CellBuilder world editor, access to the DevCell Support website and all documentation. No restrictions are placed on commercial use, and the licence costs $495 per seat.

"The high amount of inquiries for an Indie StemCell Game Engine license shows us that there are too many serious game developers out there in an urgent need of a professional game development solution," said the company.

"For the DevCell Software team it's very important to be able to offer a solution for the enthusiastic game developers, as we all know already the game development market needs a breath of fresh and innovative wave of people who are not afraid of trying different game looks and playing approaches."
