Develop sister site CasualGaming.biz continues its search for new game studios

Of all the start-ups we’ve featured in the past few months, GameGround are pursuing a niche that is likely to see lots of interest and growth in future.

Founded in 2007, and based in New York, GameGround offers the opportunity to consolidate several achievement systems, including Facebook and Xbox 360, on one cross-platform network.

Co-founder and executive chairman Itzik Ben-Bassat spoke to CasualGaming.biz to explain what this web service has going for it.

How did you start your company?
We felt a void in the gaming space, and being avid gamers ourselves, we wanted to fill that void. By allowing you to save your gaming activity regardless of where you play, giving you new ways to get rewarded for playing the games you love, and helping you stay connected with what your friends are playing and what they’re achieving, GameGround adds a layer that we felt was missing from the gaming world. For casual gamers specifically, there are so many great games out there and GameGround helps you discover the most fun ones based on your gameplay preferences and history.
