Publisher to work with studio to promote Galaxy Life and translate it into multiple languages

Social games publisher Spil Games has signed a new deal with social games developer Digital Chocolate to bring free-to-play sci-fi app Galaxy Life to its games portal.

As part of the deal, teams from both firms will now work together to promote the app to a wider audience, whilst the game will also be translated into multiple languages through the Spil Games API.

As well as Galaxy Life, in which players compete with other users for “intergalactic reign”, Digital Chocolate will also be bringing some of its other games to the platform.

“Spil Games’ impressive global user base and expertise in reaching targeted segments like teens and families made this a natural fit,” said Digital Chocolate COO Jason Loia.

“Moreover, they were able to customise their offering to our needs and take on the cost and effort of marketing our games to their audience. This enables our developers to focus on what they’re best at – developing unique and exciting cross-platform social games without worrying about user acquisition costs.”

Since entering the casual games market in July 2011, Spil Games claims it now has more than 170 million unique users playing its games every month.
