South Korea-based developer Neowiz Games has signed a licensing agreement to use Xaitment’s AI path-finding tool xaitMap for an undisclosed MMO, the German middleware provider has announced.
“NEOWIZ GAMES is a proven leader in the MMO market, both within Korea and throughout Asia,” said xaitment CEO Mike Walsh
“They place great value on the quality and uniqueness of their titles. XaitMap will not only help them create detailed Nav Meshes optimized for its new online game, it will help them quickly and easily achieve a level of realism in their character movements that no other AI software can provide.”
Neowiz director Lee Jang-choel added “Many commercial products can be used to move game characters from point A to point B, but xaitMap provides runtime libraries and tools, making the process much more efficient.
“XaitMap is comprehensive, easy-to-use and already integrates into our existing engine. Coupled with the company’s strong support, we’re extremely pleased to be working with xaitment.”
South Korea-based studio Neowiz has developed games such as Crossfire, Special Force and RPG Silkroad.
