Long-rumoured but still unconfirmed Pandemic game failed to capture current Batman buzzIf you're Electronic Arts, it seems you can't win when it comes to games industry speculation and punditry.
On the one hand, the publisher has restructured its development resources to focus on more independent-behaving studios and new IP.
And on the other comes the latest report that the stalled production of Pandemic's rumoured The Dark Knight game has cost the company $100m, despite the company's pledge to reduce the number of low-quality licensed games it produces.
That's according to analyst Michael Pachter, who says that in taking so long to produce the game - which isn't officially confirmed but has been seemingly confirmed by both an EA insider and actor Gary Oldman - EA and Warner Bros have failed to capitalise on the hype surrounding the new Batman movie.
The Dark Knight game has been rumoured as being in the works by EA's Pandemic studio for sometime, since IGN originally published two reports 'confirming' the game both this year and last year.
