Sega will be heading into the PC and Xbox digital distribution space using the cult Happy Tree Friends brand which it has licenced from Mondo Media – with development duties handled by Stainless games.
Stainless has already worked on a number of XBLA games including CrystalQuest and Novadrome. It’s also working on remaking a number of Atari retro games for the platform.
"Sega is a perfect partner for us because of their rich tradition of creating compelling, character-based games, and true to form they’re developing a truly original game that we think our fans will love," said Kenn Navarro, the creator of Happy Tree Friends.
