Steam rival now tallies up thirty-five partners

Sega backs EA Origin platform

Publishing giant Sega has become the latest firm to support EA’s PC digital platform Origin.

The Sonic house adds to a new wave of Origin supporters, including developers Team 17 and Rebellion. The latest wave of partners brings the number of publishers and developers supporting Origin to 35.

"We’re delighted to be partnering with Origin,” said Sega UK boss John Clark.

“The PC Market is continuing to grow and the prospect of offering the Total War franchise and the Sega range of PC titles to the Origin audience is very exciting," he added.

Craig Rechenmacher, EA’s biz dev director for Origin, said the Steam rival “is fast becoming the destination for consumers looking for fresh new content to play with their friends".
