Studio confirms thirteen staff have left the group
Game dev and engine group Ready at Dawn has made a strategic move to tighten its outgoings, making thirteen of its employees redundant.
The studio, responsible for PSP title Chains of Olympus as well as its own Ready at Dawn Engine, issued a statement in response to rumours suggesting as many as 50 staff had left the group.
The firm suggested the layoffs were related to the natural ebb and flow of independent game development.
"We've spent the majority of our time at RAD hiring the best and most talented people to join our team,” read a company statement.
”Today, we had to let go of 13 of these people because we simply couldn't keep them on board while one project finishes and another ramps up. Unfortunately, these are the woes of being independent.”
