Hit mobile game attracting just under one million users a month on average

Puzzle & Dragons amasses 15 million users

The trailblazing success of GungHo’s free-to-play mobile title Puzzle & Dragons shows little signs of abating after hitting 15 million users.

As reported by Serkan Toto, the title has managed to garner one million users in just 21 days. In fact, it is the 13th time the title has attracted a million new users in less than 21 days.

The milestone means that since the game’s release in February last year, the title has accrued just under one million users each month, at 940,000.

Even more impressive, is that in its first eight months on sale, the game only managed to gain two million users, before rapidly increasing its userbase from October onwards.

The company’s market cap still stands at around $15 billion.

GungHo recently announced a partnership with Clash of Clans and Hay Day developer Supercell for a game cross-over between the two companies’ flagship titles.

Under the terms of the partnership, Puzzle & Dragons is will soon feature special content related to Supercell’s Clash of Clans, which will include a themed dungeon with new monsters.

Supercell’s Clash of Clans and Hay Day meanwhile will include cross-over promotions of Puzzle & Dragons.
