Kenneth McCulloch taken into custody as police investigation continues
Precursor Games co-founder Kenneth McCulloch, 42, has been arrested and charged on allegations of possession of child pornography.
As reported by Bullet News Niagra, the charges relate to possession, making and accessing child pornography.
Last week police raided an address in St. Catharines, Ontario, as part of an investigation that started at the beginning of April. Police are said to have seized a “significant” number of computer systems and devices.
McCulloch is now being held in custody while the investigation continues.
Precursor Games CEO Paul Caporicci has since stated that since learning of the charges and their serious nature, McCulloch “is no longer affiliated in any way with Precursor Games.
McCulloch has been in the game industry for over 20 years, having spent the majority of his time at Too Human developer Silicon Knights in roles including lead designer, art director and director of content.
The developer joined Precursor Games in August last year as a founding member, starting work on psychological horror title Shadow of the Eternals. The title later took to Kickstarter raising $128,000 through crowdfunding before the studio cancelled the project.
