Kristian Segerstrale set to speak at casual, social and new platforms conference
Playfish general manager and co-founder Kristian Segerstrale is to keynote Evolve.
The one day London-based conference, which looks at the social and casual sector, is set to see Segerstrale present a seminar titled Social Gaming: After the Revolution, in which he will offer insight into why the emerging social games market is already at a crossroads.
The Playfish founder is also set to share his opinions on the evolution of social games, look at what is driving this evolution, and confirm his opinions why it's not too late to get involved in the sector.
Social gaming took the conventional video games industry by surprise," said Segerstrale. "There was a real gap in the market for ‘connectedness’ and a few companies, like Playfish, managed to reach a whole new audience and create a new type of gamer. But those ‘new’ gamers are now pretty much mainstream. Now, the interesting question is what happens next for social gaming."
Evolve, which has previously existed as a popular track at the Develop in Brighton conference, is for the first time to take place as a stand-alone event in London on Wednesday, December 8th 2010.
