Firm to refocus on Perpetual Platform support and casual games

Perpetual quits work on Star Trek Online

WarCry is reporting that San Francisco-based Perpetual Entertainment, now known as P2, has ceased work on the Star Trek Online project.

WarCry’s ‘multiple sources’ claim that the studio will be handing over the licence and game content (but not code) to an unnamed Bay area developer.

The developer, which makes the Perpetual Platform online middleware used by companies such as BioWare, will apparently re-focus its efforts to supporting the Platform as well as developing titles for the casual game market.
