Sixth annual version of B2B event in the USA has attendees from around the world

Over 220 exhibitors signed for Game Connection America

Momentum is seriously building behind March’s Game Connection America event which takes place alongside GDC.

More than 220 exhibitors are signed up to attend the B2B event which lets developers, publishers, technology and service companies meet and do deals.

Taking place from March 24th to 26th, the event runs along side the Game Developers Conference.

This year 40 per cent of the exhibiting companies are from North America, with many international exhibitors from more than 30 countries around the world. 15 per cent are Asian companies. An Australian delegation from Victoria and Queensland is also attending alongside pavilions from France, the UK, Japan, Thailand, Nordic countries Canada, Argentina, The Netherlands, and Brazil.

In terms of the projects on show behind closed doors at the event, 57 are on PS3, 75 on Wii, and 61 on Xbox 360, while 35 attending companies are working on mobile/casual/ Iphone applications. 110 of those exhibiting companies are developing PC games, and more than 35 are focusing on PSN/XBLA/WiWare.
