Opposable VR have announced today that VR World Congress will be returning in 2017, and that the VR event will be growing to three days. They’re looking for speakers, too.
This is Opposable VR’s third virtual reality conference, and it’s a big one, a 2000 capacity three day event that will take place between the 11th and 13th of April 2017 that will have an expo, meeting areas and a host of talks.
AMD are returning as headline sponsors for the Bristol-based event, and adding the third day has meant there’s more of a division between activities across the three days. The first day will largely be focussed on match-made business meetings, while the other days will have parties, panels, talks and the expo area to show the newest examples of what’s new in Virtual Reality.
Last year the event had exhibitions from Unity, Cryengine, Samsung, HTC, nDreams and many others. Now that virtual headsets are actually in the wild, interest should be even higher in the event.
The virtual reality event isn’t entirely focussed on games, but will also look at several other applications for the technology, including training, architectural visualisation, development, engineering and a host of other industries.
