GDC 09: Deal gives Trinigy Vision Engine users access to PhysX technology
3D game engine developer Trinigy is to provide out-of-the-box, multi-platform integration with Nvidia PhysX technology for Vision Engine 7 licensees.
As a result, at no extra cost Trinigy Vision Engine users will gain access to Nvidia PhysX technology for the PC, PS3, 360 and Wii as part of the Vision SDK license.
“Most of our customers have been choosing Nvidia PhysX technology for adding life-like physics to their games,” said Dag Frommhold, managing partner at Trinigy. “Thus, we are pleased that our licensees will now be able to utilise state-of-the-art physics technology for PCs and consoles alike.”
Using PhysX technology, developers can incorporate effects such as rigid body dynamics, collision detection, and cloth simulation, accelerating those effects using the processing power of the CPU and any CUDA-enabled Nvidia GPU.
