A new studio has formed from the ashes of fallen Swedish developer GRIN.

The new team, known as Might & Delight, has chosen to associate itself with one of the more successful games developed by GRIN before it was forced to close down.

As claimed on the group’s website, Stockholm-based Might & Delight is the studio that built downloadable title Bionic Commando Rearmed.

“In august 2009, former game developer GRIN shut its  doors. Some argue that there is one of Grins many later  releases that stands out; Bionic Commando Rearmed. That´s no accident. That was us,” read a statement.

No management or staff members have been revealed, so it remains uncertain if GRIN founders Bo and Ulf Andersson are behind the new outfit.

No prior projects, other than Bionic Commando Rearmed, was revealed, making it difficult to pinpoint who is working at the studio.

The group did say it wants to focus its efforts on the thriving digital market.

“It’s no secret we love retro,” read a company statement. “Our ambition is to continue doing what we started with Rearmed. Small, fresh games with strong old school flavour.”

The group also clarified that it isn’t working on a new project just yet.

“Our main goal is to continue creating remakes of classic games, so we can’t really start working on a title until we have the publisher/IP-owner on board.

“We’ll be courting various publishers for a chance to transform their classics,” the anonymous writer added.
