Thorsten Heinze and Andreas Pongs set to further Psai development

Periscope Studio, the Hamburg-based audio tools group, has hired two key new developers to work on the firm’s dynamic music middleware.

Both Thorsten Heinze and Andreas Pongs have joined Periscope to further develop the firm’s proprietary engine, known as Psai.

Psai works by dynamically altering music scores to better complement on-screen gameplay. The tech is said can adapt to numerous game scenarios to better suit the mood.

Thorsten Heinze has now become Psai’s product-manager having enjoyed over a decade of experience at studios such as Crytek and Testronic Labs. Andreas Pongs, meanwhile, will bring to Periscope his vast knowledge of game coding and use of interactive music in games.
