Backbreaker HD App launches for Apple device, developed by Ideaworks Game Studio in London

NaturalMotion has launched a new version of its Backbreaker App - this time for the iPad.

Backbreaker HD takes the original American Football iPhone app's gameplay and fluid animation and adds iPad-specific high resolution graphics and other details.

“Seeing our Backbreaker HD App on iPad is a revelation,” said Torsten Reil, CEO of NaturalMotion.

“In addition to the stunning visual fidelity of the game, the experience of running down the football field and being tackled on such a large screen is simply amazing. The iPad allows us to keep the pick-up-and-play nature of the original game, whilst at the same time creating an experience that is unrivaled on a mobile device."

The game is powered by NaturalMotion’s morpheme animation engine and all player tackles in the game are generated with endorphin Dynamic Motion Synthesis technology.

NaturalMotion is still developing its first major console game, which the Backbreaker apps are spun out of - the game is due later this year.
