US subsidiary gets new boss for internal and external development

Namco Games America has appointed Roger Hector as vice president of product development.

Hector previously led The Walt Disney Company's software publishing initiatives before serving as Sega's VP and GM and also president of Universal Studios' Digital Arts Division. Most recently, he was COO with the Enterprise Broadcasting Corporation and a consultant to a number of firms in the entertainment, video game and online spaces.

At Namco Bandai he will assume the responsibility of overseeing all facets of the company’s internal and external game development activities.

“With more than 30 years of development and management experience, Roger provides the Namco Bandai Games executive team with a proven history of creating outstanding video games and the valuable perspective we need to meet our short and long term development goals,” said Genichi Ito, president and CEO of Namco Bandai Games America.

“Roger will play an instrumental role as we continue to build our industry-leading lineup of hit franchises, original properties and licensed titles.”
