General manager leaves social media company for venture fund

The manager of social gaming giant Zynga's Boston studio resigned today in favor of a position with venture fund Spark Capital.

Nabeel Hyatt, the founder and former CEO of Conduit Labs, oversaw production of Adventure World- an Indiana Jones Game.

The game has about 5.8 million active users, but was still one of Zynga's least successful games last quarter.

Adventure World was a departure from the Zynga norm, with an emphasis on storytelling and puzzle-solving.

Hyatt explained the move on his blog: "For me it felt like time to see if I could shift my focus from building a single company to impacting the broader ecosystem."
