MunkyFun â??confidentâ?? in licensing Trinigyâ??s Vision engine

Independent studio, founded by a former LucasArts director, plans to use the Vision Game Engine for several projects

San Francisco-based indie outfit MunkyFun has licensed the Trinigy Vision Game Engine 7 for several planned titles.

MunkyFun, founded by Nick Pavis – former Director of Game Technology at LucasArts – is known to have delivered two iPhone games to the market; Ivory Tiles and Shift, while the firm stated in a press release that “in addition to long term Gen 3 projects, MunkyFun also develops short term, secondary products.”

The studio will join a growing number of companies, such as Ubisoft and Take-Two, who have licensed Trinigy’s game engine.

“After evaluating a number of commercial engines we were confident in our decision to license Trinigy's Vision Engine,” said Pavis.

“During an extensive evaluation we found a robust, mature toolset and development environment enabling our team to quickly test our ideas and make changes in real-time, he added.

MunkyFun did not disclose any details on its planned projects
