Florida games studio Artix is preparing to buy a mobile, social or online game developer, the group has revealed.
In a statement Artix said it enters 2011 in rude health, having seen a 3400 per cent user increase for its RPG EpicDuel – resulting in a 2,900 profit jump.
The “self-financed” company said it is “focused on acquiring another indie video game company to join the Artix Entertainment game lineup”.
“A prime candidate would be a studio with an interesting new game and strong community of players”.
Artix said it is particularly interested in online browser-based Flash games, social networking Games, iOS and Android games, and any studios working with emerging technologies.
Company CEO Adam Bohn said the firm has “a true love for video games and have an eight-year history of doing whatever it takes to make our players happy”.
