New Kinect can read heartbeat, emotions, change screen and detect slightest wrist rotations

Microsoft has revealed the new Kinect that runs alongside the Xbox One.

The computing giant has now made the peripheral a key, central part of the its new console, with improved voice command recognition and motion sensing.

It revealed that the Kinect sensor can be used to flip between various entetainment services on the Xbox, such as TV, music, games and Skype.

Other television entertainment features include being able to use Xbox Guide and voice commands to find specific TV shows, channels and listings through voice commands and a visual guide.

The console giant said the new Kinect can now sense the slightest rotation of wrist or shoulder, balance and transfer of weight.

It said the hardware could even detect a player's emotion and read their heartbeat.
