More than 250 developers have signed to self-publishing scheme

Microsoft has revealed the first wave of ID@Xbox games coming to the Xbox One.

25 games are set to come to the new console through the independent developer program, among them Strike Suit Zero, Nutjitsu, 1001 Spikes, Forced and Divekick.

To date more than 250 developers have signed up to the ID@Xbox scheme, which gives each member a free development kit. Microsoft has previously said however that it plans to make each Xbox One a development kit for all developers to access.

“Our goal has always been to make Xbox One the best place to play games, and that means having a diverse portfolio for gamers to choose from,” said Microsoft Studios corporate VP Phil Spencer.

“We’ve worked closely with independent developers to bring their own brand of creativity and innovation to the platform and today is just the beginning.”

Microsoft stated the list of 25 games coming soon to the console is not comprehensive, and more titles are currently in the pipeline.
