UK production firm to focus on other media

Mere Mortals quits game development

Newcastle studio Mere Mortals has backed out of games production, the company has told Develop.

The multimedia entertainment group will continue to work on other audiovisual production such as TV, film and web development
.


Since its establishment back in 1999, Mere Mortals has worked on projects as high-profile as the Danny Boyle film trio Slumdog Millionaire, Sunshine and 28 Weeks Later.

In terms of game development, the outfit had worked on Ubisoft’s World Sports Party as well as Oxygen Interactive’s PDC World Championship Darts.



Mere Mortals joined Tiga in July 2009.
