Parappa the Rapper and Flower creators latest additions to July event

Masaya Matsuura and Jenova Chen join Develop Conference line-up

Two new international speakers have been added to the Develop Conference line-up – noted Parappa the Rapper creator Masaya Matsuura, and thatgamecompany creative director Jenova Chen.

Matsuura will present a session titled ‘It’s time for Music Games 2.0’, in which he’ll look at how little the rhythm-action genre has moved on since Parappa in 1996 and ‘map out unexplored gaming possibilities and reinvent our understanding of the genre’.

Meanwhile Chen, who most recently worked on the PSN game Flower, will give a retrospective of the making of both fl0w and Flower and explore the relationship between games, entertainment and art.

The Develop Conference takes place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Brighton from July 14th to 16th. Early bird tickets are still available from the event’s website.
