Marmalade launches its first mobile game to four app stores at once

Signal to the Stars arrives on more marketplaces on launch day than any smartphone game in history

Marmalade has launched its first in-house developed game to four marketplaces at once on launch day, thanks to a new rapid development toolkit it has created.

Known as Marmalade Quick, this RAD toolkit, has successfully launched mobile puzzler Signal to the Stars on the Apple App Store, Google Play, Android Appstore and BlackBerry World on its release date, making it the widest cross-platform smartphone game launch in history.

Marmalade Quick uses the ultra-fast scripting language Lua, enabling developers to create high quality apps in a fraction of the time it would take with other tools, while offering simultaneous deployment to the full range of Marmalade-supported platforms: iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Windows and Mac desktop and selected Smart TVs.

Marmalade Quick is included free with all Marmalade licences.

Signal to the Stars was developed in-house by Marmalade Game Studio.
