Lionhead veteran quit to form iPhone studio

Industry veteran and Fable creative director Dene Carter has left Lionhead after six years to run his own iPhone game studio, it has been revealed.

Dene Carter’s development experience spans over a quarter of a century. The recognisable programmer has been central to the development of both Microsoft’s Fable games as well as the 1997 PC title Dungeon Keeper.

It was revealed on Carter’s personal blog that he had left Lionhead back in May. His new venture Fluttermind has now finished its first project, which has been released on the App Store.

No reason was given as to why he left Lionhead, though his own personal blog is peppered with high praise towards his former employer.
