Development giants join impressive roster including Twitter and Google

Some of the biggest names in digital games distribution and marketing will speak at November's London Games Conference. 

Experts from EA/Origin, Disney, Sega, IGN, Meteor, ISFE and ultra-popular YouTube stars Yogscast will share advice on best practice on promoting and selling games online at the Wednesday, November 21st event. 

This latest wave of speakers join the already-announced keynotes from Google and Twitter.

The currently announced speaker line-up is as follows:  

GOOGLE: Warren Mills, industry manager for entertainment, games market specialist leads the presentations. Delegates will get a guide to search trends in gaming and what they mean during the life cycle of a game.

From first announce through to post release DLC. This focused presentation is vital for anyone looking to ensure their games reach the biggest possible audience across search, YouTube, mobile and the Google display network.

TWITTER: Bruce Daisley, sales director, Twitter UK, will deliver a presentation focused closely on the video games audience. Insights will be delivered on the trends around games, based on terms and time of day.

He will share case studies from games publishers who are getting it right on Twitter, and describe what best actions can grow followers and engagement, with both free and paid for activity.

EA ORIGIN: Roger Walkden, senior director of European business development, EA Partners will be speaking in his role as developer and publisher outreach for EA Origin in Europe. Origin is a fast growing digital distribution platform and Walkden will focus on how publishers and developers can get the best from the store.

DISNEY: Matt Carroll, commercial director for digital games at The Walt Disney Company EMEA will be covering how traditional marketing disciplines can be applied to the challenges of digital discovery and distribution. Carroll’s broad remit at Disney includes digital console, download and streaming PC games, Club Penguin and virtual worlds, Playdom and social games and Disney Mobile. 

SEGA: John Clark, VP of digital distribution PC at Sega will talk through the acceleration of Sega through new digital channels. Sega has delivered two of the biggest hits on Steam with the Football Manger and Total War series and Clark will explain how to be a winner in the world’s biggest digital store, offering practical advice

YOGSCAST: Representing growth in online video is Yogscast. The Yogscast is the number one UK channel on YouTube and the world's most viewed gaming channel on YouTube.

Yogscast's Minecraft content has widely been credited as part of the success story around the growth of the game. Mark Turpin, business development manager at Yogscast and MMO expert will examine how community, content and video can build audience and engagement.

IGN: The popular Richard Keen, International Publishing director at IGN, the world’s biggest games media business, will offer a media owner’s perspective on the challenges around digital games discovery and distribution.

ISFE: Simon Little, Managing Director at PEGI SA will be speaking around rating games on a European wide basis and the digital challenges.

Also, Nicholas Lovell, Director at Gamesbrief, will be returning to LGC reprising his Heroes or Zeroes interactive presentation, naming the eight companies likely to thrive or die in the online gaming business – with a chance for the audience to vote on the selection.

London Games Conference is focused on the digital discovery and distribution of games.
