Issue 93 today mailed to subscribers and also available online for free

The April issue of Develop has been sent to subscribers and is now available to read online – for free – either as a PDF here (registration required) or in-browser via the Flash-based viewer Issuu.

This month's cover story is an exclusive, in-depth look at the development of Split/Second, the latest new UK-made racing IP, in production at Disney's Brighton-based Black Rock. The team say their new game will put the rest of Britain's driving game studios to shame, and explain how the creation of the game proves it.

The magazine also offers a guide to this year's Develop Awards, including details on how to lobby and the criteria for each award.

We've also got a dedicated look at studios in Yorkshire, with a roundtable talking to studios in the region, plus profiles of Sumo Digital, Team 17, PitStop Productions, Just Add Water, and Tuna.

Meanwhile our Build technology section features a look at Blitz' decision to make its internal tech available to third-parties, a look at Havok's new AI tool, a guide to metric and analysis tools, and a case study looking at Kuju's implementation of Perforce.

Our news section also features a look at new studio Lightning Fish, plus four pages of GDC recap for those who might've missed the event and its key announcements.

Plus, Develop once again proves itself to be a key destination for pieces written by experts from across the sector, with content from Epic Games' Mark Rein, audio guru John Broomhall, Ruffian Games' Billy Thompson, Black Rock's David Jefferies, analyst Nick Gibson, and our executive editor Owain Bennallack.
