Raymond joins governing body for video games trade organisation
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), the professional trade organisation for the video game industry, announced on Tuesday that Jade Raymond of Electronic Arts would be joining AIAS' board of directors effective immediately.
Raymond is currently the SVP and group general manager for Electronic Arts' PopCap Vancouver and Motive Studios in Montreal, which she founded in 2015 and also sits on C2 Montréal's board of directors. Raymond has had a storied career in the games industry since joining as a programmer in the late 90's, before working for Sony, EA, Ubisoft Montreal, and Ubisoft Toronto
"I've known Jade for a long time, and I've always had a deep respect for her and her work. She's a true industry leader with a genuine passion for the art of making video games," said Meggan Scavio, President, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences in a press release.

The AIAS board of directors is the governing body for over 30,000 members of the AIAS, and is composed of industry leaders from across the video game
The AIAS Board of Directors is the governing body of the 30K+ plus member the AIAS and is composed of 12 additional industry leaders representing Blizzard Entertainment, Microsoft, Nintendo, Riot Games, Sony, Tencent, Unity Technologies as well as representatives from the independent development community like Bonfire Studios and Insomniac Games.
