Former online community group manager hails rapid growth of social media

ICO Partners snaps up NCsoft exec

Social media exec Jen Bolton has left her former company NCsoft to join London-based online game consultancy group ICO Partners.

Bolton has been working in the online community business for a number of years, and now at ICO will work with European publishers and developers to consult on strategies for growth.

"Adding Jen to our core team fits perfectly with our commitment to provide the best experts there are to our clients,” said Thomas Bidaux, ICO Partners CEO. "With Jen on-board, we’ve expanded our management capacity while broadening the scope of our services."

Prior to joining NCsoft, Bolton managed the online community teams for a number of NCsoft titles, from Guild Wars to City of Heroes.

"We’ve already seen the rapid uptake of social media have a profound effect on consumer expectations and brand perception,” said Bolton, “and this ball has only just begun to roll. I’m very excited about helping developers and publishers to integrate social spaces into a comprehensive marketing strategy that really works for everybody."
