Speculation that RTW â??pet projectâ?? was bought under condition of anonymity

Realtime Worlds former chairman Ian Hetherington is said to have bought back the project he lost when Realtime Worlds went into administration.

Hetherington, the former founder of Psygnosis (now Sony Liverpool), has been repeatedly linked to the anonymous company that bought Project MyWorld last week.

Regional newspaper The Courier speculates, however, that Hetherington has not fronted all the money for the MyWorld buyout.

Connections in the matter remain unclear, for now.

A spokesperson for Realtime Worlds’ administrators declined to comment.

It is thought that the firm now in ownership of Project MyWorld had bought the IP with a confidentiality clause in place.

The specifics of the matter, including the number of jobs lost and saved, has so far proven to be well protected.

Realtime Worlds was placed in administration last month after “lacklustre sales” of its exorbitant five-year project, APB.
