Havok celebrates domination of BAFTA games shortlist

27 nominations for the 2009 GAME British Academy Video Games Awards are for games built using Havok technology, the company has revealed today.

“The significant amount of nominations Havok-built games received speaks volumes for our technical leadership and clear differentiation in the market,” said David O’Meara, managing director of Havok.

Nominated games that harness Havok tools include Assassin’s Creed, Prince of Persia, Fable II, Fallout 3, Guitar Hero: World Tour and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.

Havok’s physics middleware is currently included in over 200 games, and is already in use for 65 games slated for release in 2009.
