IB Media to support studios looking to enter the Asia-Pacific markets and vice-versa

GDC Europe chairman establishes game consultancy firm

A new game consultancy firm supporting game companies entering the Asia-Pacific markets has been formed by GDC Europe chairman Frank Sliwka.

Called IB Media, as well as helping developers and other game-related studios into the Asia-Pacific markets, the consulting firm will also offer advice on companies looking to enter the European market.

The new business will also operate as a publisher for print and online media.

IB Media’s main office is based in Singapore, and also has branches in Germany and China.

“I´m deeply familiar with the international games industry having established my first company ‘Global Games Media’ in 2002, which was acquired by UBM TechWeb,” said Sliwka.

“I experienced first-hand how European and Asian companies sometimes have different views about business relations. As long as everyone stays on their respective continent there won’t be any problems.

"However, due to globalisation, international business relations and expansions are of utmost importance in order to compete in the marketplace. This is exactly where IB Media provides value.”
