Toolset available in Express, Basic and Standard versions
IPi Soft has brought its markerless motion capture software iPi Motion to Valve's digital distribution platform Steam.
The scalable toolkit supports one or two Kinect/Xtion cameras and three-to-six PlayStation Eye cameras to track 3D human body motions and produce 3D animation.
The tech is currently available in three different versions, Express, Basic and Standard. The initial install of iPi Mocap Studio 2 can be downloaded for free.
“Having our product available to their (Steam's) 50 million members is both an honour and a great opportunity to show just how powerful our markerless mo-cap solution can be to game developers at all levels," said iPi Soft Founder Michael Nikonov.
"We look forward to seeing how our product is used by the many creative professionals and amateurs who call Valve home."
